SPEAR is the result of collaboration of concerned volunteers who have combined resources to establish an organisation which aims to address Rhino poaching and any other form of poaching, one Rhino at a time, one Perlemoen at a time, by stopping poachers, permanently, with effective Anti-Poaching Units and successful convictions, not merely arrests.
SPEAR's goal is to build this initiative to be a model Anti-Poaching Training Base with interested parties that share the same goal.
The only way we will stop this war, is with the best trained and disciplined soldiers to fight it. Negotiations and sweet talk have amounted to nothing.
Apprehension and successful convictions of poachers is what we need. There will always be others to fill the boots but we will be there to stop them.
Our further goal is to oppose any form of legalising an illegal trade of any protected or endangered species.
SPEAR has its offices, training facility and shooting range in Cape Town.
